My rating of this resource: ****

My experience using this resource:
The human circulatory system

Topic I was teaching:
The structure and function of the heart

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
to have students understand the "2 pumps in 1" model of the heart

Course Level:
A.P., Honors or Advanced, Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
This video is shown before and after a review of the heart's structure and function. The second review allows students to check their notes for accuracy and completeness.

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Increases student engagement and motivation, independent student review

Strengths:
great video! comprehensive! easy to use! kids don't get overwhelmed with vocabulary!
I hope this site lives for a long time!

Weaknesses:
Ugh! Be still my beating heart!
Even the Mayo Clinic promotes the misconception that blood is blue until it hits air/oxygen!!
