My rating of this resource: ****

My experience using this resource:
Honors biology

Topic I was teaching:
Reabsorption of the kidney

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
Have students visualize and be able to explain the process of reabsorption in the kidney and the production of urine

Course Level:
Honors or Advanced

How I/my students used the resource:
After discussing the anatomy of the kidney the animation was show step by step to detail where and how reabsorption occurs. Notes supplimented the animation. Students where then given access to the site in order to help with their studying of the subject.

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Provides practice or tutorial

Strengths:
Very thorough and the animation can be seen as a narration or step b step with captions. It does not take long to lode. The fact that you can stop and start it helps present the material that can be repeated easily.

Weaknesses:
When showing the parts of the kidney there is more anatomy identified than would have the know. Not much else.
