My rating of this resource: ***

My experience using this resource:
evolution/classification

Topic I was teaching:
morphology / taxonomy

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
to have students view the video and identify strutural changes present as a result of the evolution of new species results in the need to reassess the classification system

Course Level:
A.P., Honors or Advanced, Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
as students view the video, they are able to classify organisms based upon the physical characteristics shown.

This site is also valuable - from: Cosmos narrated by Carl Sagan

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Increases student engagement and motivation

Strengths:
While some may veiw the transformations as "fantasmical", to be able to appreiciate the classification system is the goal

Weaknesses:
not able to "see" the molecular basis of classification but this is for another discusssion! : )
