My rating of this resource: *****

My experience using this resource:

Biotechnology and society

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
How biotechnology is used today and could be used in the future.

Course Level:

How I/my students used the resource:
Use video clips to introduce uses of DNA profiling today for disease screening and treatment. Video clips from the moving GATTACA is a good introduce for showing the entire movie.

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Increases access to scientists, Provides additional content, Increases student engagement and motivation

Strengths:
Provides small bits of information and interviews with scientists involved in the discovery and use of DNA sequencing today and in the future. Good use of movie and TV shows to demonstrate use of biotechnology in the future. Good suggestions for lessons plans and teacher support.

Weaknesses:
Must have proper software to show video clips.
