My rating of this resource: *****

My experience using this resource:
Freshwater Ecology

Topic I was teaching:
Watershed issues

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
To start students talking about watershed issues

Course Level:
Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
Students were shown the comic about the person that runs a paper mill and a water cleaning plant down stream and asked to tell everyone what they saw and what the issues were. This was done through a class Blog and students were required to comment on other student comments.

Value Added:
Increases student engagement and motivation, Allowed a topic of watershed issues to be presented

Strengths:
Large collection of comics that can be used in the classroom of any science class

Weaknesses:
That you can not download them to your own site
