Hurricanes

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
I wanted students to see that scientists had been aware of potenial levee/pump failure in New Orleans prior to Katrina and predicted damage to city

Course Level:
Remedial

How I/my students used the resource:
Used this as a stepping stone to discuss accountability of law makers in natural disasters and talked about how Katrina victims still do not have homes

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Provides additional content

Strengths:
allos students to comment on responsibility of law makers during natural disasters....Katrina is so fresh in their minds it gives them a forum to discuss accountability

Weaknesses:
none
