My experience using this resource:
Earth Science

Topic I was teaching:
Running Water

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
Students to understand the lag in flow rates following weather events.

Course Level:
Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
As a class we accessed the data for our region, and used it to discuss the imapacts to flow within a watershed.

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Provides access to remote instrumentation, Increases data collection & analysis skills

Strengths:
The tool provides good real time information that is easy for all students to access and understand.

Weaknesses:
It does require discussion and extension. It is not a stand alone site.
