My rating of this resource: ****

My experience using this resource:
Physics

Topic I was teaching:
Magnetism

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
I was looking for other teacher's ideas on how to use the magnetic field probes.

Course Level:
Honors or Advanced

How I/my students used the resource:
My students did not use this resource at all. I found the magnetic field probe lab "The Magnetic Field of a Slinky" to have some very good ideas on how to use the probes in the classroom. I tried the experiment, then significantly modified it for my class learning needs.

I will certainly return to this site to look at other labs for different probes; while I did not adopt this one compeltely, it led me to a relatively successful lab.

Value Added:
curriculum ideas for teachers

Strengths:
There is a broad range of different labs for different probes in all the subjects. The labs are written by educators, and the ones I have seen seem NOT to assume that the equipment will work perfectly.

Weaknesses:
Pdf files are not so easy to alter (unless you have the costly software). Finding this site is difficult unless you specifically know where you are going.
