My experience using this resource: AP Biology
Topic I was teaching: Sensory systems, the eye specifically.
My learning goal for which this resource was used: I wanted to provide an intro to the human eye in terms of structure and function.
Course Level: A.P., Honors or Advanced, Intro or Regular, Remedial
How I/my students used the resource: I found 4 videos that I was able to download clips from that provided good basic illustations of eye structure and fucntion. We watched the clips in class.
Value Added: Provides visualization or animation, Provides practice or tutorial, Provides additional content, Increases student engagement and motivation
Strengths: It was easy to navigate the website and find what I was looking for. It was great to be able to download small clips so we didn't spend the whole class just wacthing videos. We could watch short sections discuss and add more infomation by discussion.
Weaknesses: Some of the clips are very basic, and need to be suplimented with detail to bring them up to the AP standard.
