My rating of this resource: ***

My experience using this resource:
Cell

Topic I was teaching:
Cell Structure and function

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
To be able to identify the structure and function of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.

Course Level:
A.P., Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
This site offers great animations for use in class, but I am inclined to use it more for students to review on their own. I like the "quiz" feature that helps reinforce material.

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Increases modeling skills, Provides practice or tutorial

Strengths:
engaging, fun, animations great (vs. still images), quizzes are good

Weaknesses:
images are primitive, some information is incorrect (cell wall = selectivley permeable boundary)
some choice options are more geared to an introductory level than an advanced/AP level so be sure to review before assigning to students
