My rating of this resource: *****

My experience using this resource:
Earth Sci

Topic I was teaching:
Hurricanes

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
Illustrate the effects of hurricanes on coastal regions

Course Level:
Remedial

How I/my students used the resource:
discussed hurricane katrina and storm surges that resulted; allowed students to see animations that would recreate the conditions in New Orleans during Katrina

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Provides additional content

Strengths:
provides animation of damage resulting from different hurricane categories and various sized storm surges; allows students to visualize what happened during Katrina

Weaknesses:
I do not see any weaknesses to this resource...can not stand alone, requires additional notes for well rounded understanding about hurricanes
