My rating of this resource: ****

My experience using this resource:
Physics

Topic I was teaching:
Electric forces and electric fields

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
1) To define an electric field.
2) To draw electric field lines for single electric charges and for system of electric charges

Course Level:
Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
The students went to my web site where they accessed this resource through a hyperlink. They learned quickly how to work with the resource, observed the electric field configurations for different systems of charges, and copied some of them into their notebooks.

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Provides practice or tutorial, Increases student engagement and motivation

Strengths:
This resource is very easy to use and it provides nice vizualization of electric field lines.

Weaknesses:
This resource works in two windows: a window where you place charges and observe electric field lines and a window where you can change the parameters of a charge. In my opinion, it would be more convenient to have everything in the same window.
