My rating of this resource: ***

My experience using this resource:
Chemistry

Topic I was teaching:
Acids and Bases

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
For students to have an idea of where common items fall on the pH scale.

Course Level:
Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
This was an introduction piece (about 15 minutes) at the beginning of class. It set the stage for discussion of acids and bases.

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Provides a virtual lab

Strengths:
This was a great, quick way for students to test their own theories. It helped build the platform for discussion of acids and bases.

Weaknesses:
1-3 of the universal indicator are hard to distinguish from one another. It really doesn't matter but the students will complain.
