My rating of this resource: *****

My experience using this resource:
Physics

Topic I was teaching:
Motion of objects

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
Students developed podcasts to explain the lab we did on a falling object and these podcasts would be posted for others to listen to amd to comment on.

Course Level:
Honors or Advanced, Intro or Regular, Remedial

How I/my students used the resource:
Once podcasts were developed I put them into the GCast website and than had kids subscribe to the RSS feed so they could review the content in each others files.

Value Added:
Increases data collection & analysis skills, Access to other student work or data, Provides assessment opportunity, Increases student engagement and motivation

Strengths:
Very easy to set up an account, easy for students and others to subscribe to the RSS feeds and it is free. It is on the web so it is always there and is not inside the firewall so students can access it from any where.

Weaknesses:
Only allows mp3 files, therefore no pictures or video can be used.
