My rating of this resource: ****

My experience using this resource:
Chemical bonds

Topic I was teaching:
Covalent Bonds

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
I wanted the students to have a visual to help them understand the concept of bonding. I used two videos for covalent bonding, and another two for ionic bonds.

Course Level:
Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
As an additional aid to what they had read.

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation

Strengths:
I think it's very important to provide as many visuals as possible when dealing with topics that are so abstract. The students could clearly see how a covalent bond SHARED electrons in contrast to an ionic bond.

Weaknesses:
The colors were a little difficult to see in one of the two videos (the second one I added here).
