My rating of this resource: *****

My experience using this resource:
Chemistry

Topic I was teaching:
Rutherford's Gold Foil Experiment

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
For students to see the set up and results of Rutherford's Gold Foil Experiment.

Course Level:
Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
I used this in the middle of a lesson to demonstrate what Rutherford set up and the results he received.

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Increases student engagement and motivation

Strengths:
The animations are excellent and provide a great visual for the set up and results of the experiment. The voice over is good and the buttons at the bottom allow to skip around.

Weaknesses:
There is no pause button or way to manipulate the playback, so once it starts you can not control it.
