My rating of this resource: ****

My experience using this resource:
Physics

Topic I was teaching:
Projectile Motion

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
High speed or strobe photography can show the independent x and y motion of a projectile

Course Level:
A.P., Honors or Advanced, Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
I have been looking up how to do various high speed photography photos. Presently all our school has the equipment for is the strobe photos, but the students are often interested in a balloon bursting, for example.

Value Added:
Provides additional content, Increases student engagement and motivation, Provides instructions for building lab equipment

Strengths:
The folks at HiViz have put together an excellent resource for people breaking into high-speed photography. Their site branches off in different directions depending on your interest/budget. They include the Electronic Guidebook for High-Speed Flash Photography written by Loren Winters of the NC school of Science and Mathematics. (which is essentially a workshop for educators)

Weaknesses:
Not much is available on strobe photography. Mostly the site makes you wish you had time and money...
