My rating of this resource: ****

My experience using this resource:
physics and astronomy

Topic I was teaching:
various topics

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
I was looking for good ideas on Sunspots and used this source to find a well written activity for sunspots

Course Level:
Honors or Advanced, Intro or Regular, Remedial

How I/my students used the resource:
I used this source to find other sources (a great search engine) to find good activities

Value Added:
Provides practice or tutorial, Provides additional content, Increases student engagement and motivation

Strengths:
this site is not necessarily for student use (though it could be). It is a database collection of a wide variety of resources. There is a great search engine that lets you narrow your search:

Astronomy Center.org - Introductory Undergraduate Astronomy Resources
The Nucleus - Community Collection for Physics Students
PER-CENTRAL - Resources in Physics Education Research
Physical Sciences Resource Center - General Physics and Astronomy Collection
The Physics Front - Resources for High School and Middle School Teachers
Physics-to-Go - Informal Education and Outreach Materials
PTEC - Teacher preparation programs and resources all physics teachers should have
The Quantum Exchange - Resources in Quantum Physics

It is great to have one place to go and start when looking for activities.

Weaknesses:
Some of the resources you find (especially the journal articles) are not free. Like many resources, it is easy to go off on tangents and get lost from your original purpose.
