My rating of this resource: ***

My experience using this resource:
Earth Systems Sci

Topic I was teaching:
Hurricanes

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
give students the information to determine what they need to do to prepare for a hurricane

Course Level:
Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
students use the website to find necessary items for preparing a hurricane disaster kit and view hurricane disaster images

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Provides additional content

Strengths:
allows students to realize that although we do not get many hurricanes, we still get them and how to prepare themselves

Weaknesses:
may be better for middle school students but is effective for students to identify necessary items for disaster kit, which they enjoyed finding out about
