Conceptual Physics

Apparent Weight

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
To observe changes in apparent weight in an accelerating/decelerating elevator

Course Level:
Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
We brought the force plate and LabPro into the school elevator to observe changes in apparent weight.

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Increases graphing skills, Provides assessment opportunity, Increases student engagement and motivation

Strengths:
Easy to use. Kids have a great time using it. Very effective as it provides instant access to data.

Weaknesses:
None.
