My rating of this resource: *****

My experience using this resource:
Physics

Topic I was teaching:
Electric forces and electric fields.

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
1) To define an electric field.
2) To draw electric field lines for single charges and for system of charges

Course Level:
Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
The assignment that I gave to my students was to explore electric field lines for various configurations and present their learning as a mini-poster. The students went to my web site where they accessed this resource through a hyperlink. They switched between different charge configurations, observed electric field lines, and copied some of the electric field patterns on paper.

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Provides a virtual lab, Provides practice or tutorial, Increases student engagement and motivation

Strengths:
This resource provides a good opportunity to learn about electric field lines and it is easy for students to use.

Weaknesses:
None.
