My rating of this resource: ****

My experience using this resource:
biology

Topic I was teaching:
cellular respiration

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
To teach the many steps of cellular respiration.

Course Level:
Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
Using the projector, I used the animation to go over the steps. I let students ask questions and I asked questions of them. Different students came up to the Smart Board to control the buttons. Their homework was to then go back to the site at their own speed and write down what they did understand and what they still had questions about.

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Increases modeling skills, Provides practice or tutorial, Provides additional content, Increases student engagement and motivation

Strengths:
The step by step buttons helps student to see what is happening in small bits.

Weaknesses:
The Kreb's cycle could show more detail and go a bit slower.
