My rating of this resource: *****

My experience using this resource:
Chemistry

Topic I was teaching:
Stoichiomentry

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
To have students determine the who and what of the crime using lab skills they have learned so far this year. Also to have them have to develop a scientific report.

Course Level:
Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
This was a great resource but I did change it to fit my students. "The facts" were made available to them and then they were given several class days to do their testing from which they had to submit a report and a power point presentation to be presented "in court".

Value Added:
Increases student engagement and motivation, increases problem solving skills

Strengths:
The site provides the teacher with enough information to adapt the project as he/she needs to. This project also can lead nicely into the topic of solutions.

Weaknesses:
If you want students to use a particular method, be more specific with the process.
