discuss political issues surrounding Katrina; as well as discuss advances in hurricane modeling

video of Katrina

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Provides additional content, Increases student engagement and motivation

Strengths:
real world example of hurricane distruction and the aftermath; students see how scientists are using the Katrina data to further models of hurricanes

Weaknesses:
may not be able to use if internet issues exist at the school
