My rating of this resource: ***

My experience using this resource:
Chemistry

Topic I was teaching:
Atomic orbitals

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
Show a three dimensional model of atomic orbitals.

Course Level:
Honors or Advanced, Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
While discussing the different types of orbitals, I used the website in class to help introduce the number of each orbital, show how the orbitals could fit together, and give them a visual reference to the orbitals.

The site was also emailed to students so they could access it at home.

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation

Strengths:
-Diagrams rotate along the appropriate axis.
-Coloring can be confusing but it gives a good three dimensional picture
-Gives drawings for difficult shapes to draw.

Weaknesses:
-It would be nice if you could overlay the orbitals
-Some back tracking to get to the orbital you want to view.
