My rating of this resource: ***

My experience using this resource:
Earth Sci

Topic I was teaching:
Carbon Cycle

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
to illustrate carbon cycle and its processes

Course Level:
Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
Students played animation and took turns narrating various aspects of the carbon cycle

Value Added:
Provides visualization or animation, Increases modeling skills, Provides practice or tutorial, Provides additional content, Provides assessment opportunity

Strengths:
Students were amused by the animation and were able to link the animation to content discussed. Allowed students to see interactions of carbon cycle proccesses before constructing their own models of the same processes.

Weaknesses:
Although this was a great resource and the kids really enjoyed it (it solidified their understanding), the animation appeared to be geared towards middle school students. I am not sure how useable this would be in upper grades, or different levels of the same content.
