My experience using this resource:
Chemistry

Topic I was teaching:
The most recent topic was 'Ionic Compounds'.

My learning goal for which this resource was used:
The students should be able to 1)identify a compound as ionic and 2)name binary ionic compounds, both from formula to name and from name to formula.

Course Level:
Intro or Regular

How I/my students used the resource:
They explored the SciLinks on ionic compounds and wrote a summary on what they learned about the topic.

Value Added:
Provides additional content, Increases student engagement and motivation

Strengths:
It provides additional content and increases student engagement in the learning process. Students can explore the content at their own pace.

Weaknesses:
Most of the links provided by the SciLinks were not completely relevant to the topic being studied.
